Purchase intent increases.

While beacon trials are underway around the globe, some early and measurable results finally are starting to come in.  In what appears to be the first nationwide deployment, Hillshire Brands has some initial findings.  Purchase intent increased 20 times for those exposed to messages sent from beacons in grocery stores, according to an analysis by Hillshire agency BPN, part of the IPG Mediabrands global network. How it works.

  • Beacon transmitters use Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) technology to notify nearby  devices of its presence. These transmitters can be powered by batteries or a fixed power source such as a USB adapter. 
  • Delivr can set up multiple Bluetooth beacons within and around your store to broadcast its signal.  When a smart device is in a beacon’s proximity, the beacon will automatically recognize it and will be able to interact with that device.
  • Beacons can pinpoint if customers are in range of its signal and the  App or a Passbook pass determines what to do when they inside that range.
  • For example, a beacon-enabled App can be programmed to deliver a coupon or promotion.
